  Patty Jeffries

Patty Patty was born in Springfield, Missouri, a few years back, and is the youngest of three siblings and the only girl. No wonder she grew up loving all things dealing with the outdoors like camping and hiking. Patty has spent all but 7 years of her life in Washington State. She grew up in the Lakewood and Olympia areas and was very active in 4-H, Brownies, and Girl Scouts. After attending Tulsa High School her freshman year in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she returned to Lakewood and attended Lakes High School.
Patty met her first husband in 1971. She became a co-rider in 1973. Their first bike was a Honda 450, and she has been hooked ever since on the world of motorcycling.
She has one son, Travis, who has been right there by her side during the tough difficult times. Patty and her first husband divorced in 2000. She met and married her second husband in 2001. Unfortunately her second husband was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs Disease in 2004. He also had a heart attack and a by-pass in 2006. Together they fought a 4-year battle which claimed his life in January 2010.
Patty is a very strong and independent lady in several ways. She started work in 1979 at the Dept of Social and Health Services (DSHS) for the State of Washington. She still works for DSHS Headquarters in Olympia but is hoping to start, and is really looking forward to, retirement in a few years. Her favorite hobbies are camping, cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, & finding garage sales.
She also enjoys being a grandma. The biggest joy in her life today is her grandson Austen. In October of 2010 Patty met Jim Swart who re-introduced her to the wonderful world of motorcycling. Especially to the fun and good times associated with of the GWRRA and the Chapter B family. Patty says "I love being a Member of this big buzzin’ family of Gold Winger’s".
