I bought my first Gold Wing in late Summer of 1994, a used 1977 - GL1000, that had set in a garage for over 2 years. I spent that Fall and Winter doing the forgotten maintenance on it, replacing all of the fluids, lubing all of the moving parts, replacing the rusted parts, and polishing what was left. The Governor's Run of 1995 was it's great debut, it's first offical day on the road. Now with well over 180,000 miles on it, it's still running strong.

In June of 1996, I joined the GWRRA. Since I lived in, or near, Bremerton, I was automatically associated with Chapter B. Even though I never took part in any of the activities, I was on their mailing and phone lists. In December of 2006, I officially joined Chapter B. Immediately after handing my application to Doug, the current CD, he asked me to be the Chapter Photographer... which I accepted.

Since I joined, I have had more fun, gone more places, and have ridden more miles that I 'normally' ride during a summer.

In February, 2010, I purhased a new 2010 Metallic Titanium GL1800. Since Honda wasn't going to produce a bike the color I wanted, I figured this color would make a good background color. Immediately after riding it home, I took it all apart and had it painted, Metallic Dark Forest Green. With over 20,000 miles on it after just the first summer, I'm really having fun riding it!!
